For over 46 years, GHA Autism Supports has provided quality, community services to meet the unique needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We create environments where people of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder are understood, valued for their diversity and are given opportunities to grow, as well as contribute to the community.
It is our pledge to support people in developing an evolving blueprint for their lives, and we do that not by asking them to conform to our service array, but by creating and tailoring services to meet their expressed needs. With this process, we help to make a difference one person at a time.
We value the uniqueness of each individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder and seek to incorporate their strengths, abilities, values, interests and choices in the planning and provision of services.
We seek to provide quality training for all staff, thus developing direct care skills and a high degree of professionalism in all areas of job performance.
Morrow Valley Farmstead brings together, for the first time all in one place, the healing forces of nature, man, medicine, science, and technology to create for each individual, a world that is uniquely theirs, one that includes all things necessary for their security, comfort, and happiness.
Carolina Farms was initially developed in three phases, with three, five-bed group homes along with facilities that encompass the vocational aspects of life on the farm. Additional facilities for the Farm include a multi-purpose building, barn, two greenhouses, therapeutic riding ring, recreational track and swimming pool.
Families from the Wilmington area strongly advocated for GHA Autism Supports to provide supports for their loved ones within their home community. We began our outreach to this area in March of 2010 and have continued to expand our service array most recently with the opening of Port City Academy.
